Elizabeth Boyer

In 1998 at the age of 18, Elizabeth Boyer – Owner, graduated from the world-renowned Tom Rose School for professional dog trainers. She came back to Quincy shortly thereafter and established Alpha Dog Training Center. She is certified to train dogs in protection, obedience, tracking and narcotics detection. Prior to attending Tom Rose School, Elizabeth immersed herself in all things animal. From a young age, she was raised with hunting dogs and had a plethora of other pets along the way. With years of experience, Elizabeth possesses vast knowledge and understanding of the many dog breeds and temperaments.

“Every dog is different; I have made it my life’s work to understand the uniqueness of each dog I come in contact with, and the ability to communicate that to their owners. Many problems arise in dog ownership simply from misunderstanding what your dog is expressing to you. Animals, particularly dogs, are the only things that I have ever been completely passionate about, and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.”

Jake White

Originally from Chicago, IL, Jake White found his way to Quincy and Alpha Dog Training Center in the Fall of 2014. A former zookeeper at Randall Oaks Zoo, Jake enjoyed having animals in his day to day life. Growing up with dogs, he has “always been amazed by what you can teach a dog to do. From advanced obedience to scent detection, search and rescue to protection, etc.” Jake’s hunger for knowing all things dog, lead him to the Tom Rose School in High Ridge, Missouri. On becoming a professional dog trainer Jake says that he “wanted to learn how to do all of it and share my knowledge with others in the dog loving world.” Jake’s furry family member is his buddy Hank, a Black Lab. In his time away from Alpha Dog, Jake enjoys fly-fishing and watching sports.

Having worked in medical offices for 10+ years, Lindsey brings knowledge and experience to her role as Office Manager at Alpha Dog Training Center. Having helped her sister at the kennel off and on for years, the transition to full time managing was a long overdue and happy decision. Lindsey has two dogs, Stella, her Senior Chihuahua, and Kyle, a Boston Terrier, which she happily shares with her husband, Russ. She has embraced the “dog life” and especially enjoys getting to know all of Alpha Dog’s clients and their pets. “Growing up with a big sister as a dog trainer and watching her grow this business from the ground up, has been an awesome experience. I see the time, dedication, and love she has for these animals, every day, and it inspires me.” Lindsey enjoys her time away from work, involved in social activism, hanging out with family and friends, and especially, cooking.
